Asuhan Keperawatan Gout Arthritis untuk Penerapan Evidance Based Practice Kompres Jahe Merah

Abstract

Gout Arthritis is a joint disease characterized by hyperuricemia or increased uric acid levels in the blood. The metabolic disorder underlying gout is hyperuricemia, which is defined as an increase in uric acid levels above 7.0 ml/dl and 6.0 mg/dl. The aim of this study is to determine nursing care for Mrs. Y with Gout Arthritis through the application of Evidence Based Practice using Red Ginger Compresses to reduce joint pain in Kauneran Sonder Village. The method used was a case study. The subject was a patient with Gout Arthritis having problems with Acute Pain and Impaired Physical Mobility in Kauneran Sonder Village. The research results using evidence-based nursing showed that the application of red ginger compresses for pain reduction was carried out three times over 24 hours for 20 minutes with ginger heated to a temperature of 40-50°C. The initial pain scale was 6 and decreased to a pain scale of 3. The evaluation results showed that red ginger compresses can help reduce pain. The case study showed that teaching clients to use complementary therapy such as warm red ginger compresses improved joint movement flexibility. While interventions for the second diagnosis included setting movement limitations, instructions for active ROM (range of motion) exercises, and monitoring the location of pain. Recommendation: It serves as information and additional knowledge for implementing red ginger compresses for Gout Arthritis, and for families to be able to use red ginger compresses to improve joint movement flexibility for people with Gout Arthritis.
