Hypertension is a condition in which systolic and diastolic blood pressure exceed normal limits, which can lead to high mortality and morbidity. Prolonged hypertension can cause complications such as coronary heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, and even death. Controlled blood pressure can reduce the risk of complications by maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and individuals with chronic or long-term hypertension are advised to routinely undergo health checks or blood pressure monitoring and adhere to taking antihypertensive medications as prescribed by a doctor. Non-adherence to antihypertensive medication, an unhealthy lifestyle, and the lack of inexpensive, easy, safe, and low-risk alternative treatments that can be done at home contribute to the increasing incidence of hypertension. This study aims to implement Light Massage Therapy to Reduce Blood Pressure as part of Nursing Care for Mr. A. S with Grade II Hypertension in Room Irina C1 at Prof. Dr. R.D. Kandou General Hospital Manado. This research uses a case study method. The subject of the study was a patient in Room Irina C1 with hypertension that met the inclusion criteria established by the researcher. The results of the case study showed a decrease in blood pressure after administering light massage for three consecutive days. Before receiving light massage, the patient’s blood pressure was 190/110 mmHg, which decreased to 136/81 mmHg after the therapy. Regular administration of light massage can help lower blood pressure in clients with hypertension.
