Evidance Based Practice Penerapan Komunikasi SBAR Oleh Perawat Pelaksana

Abstract

One method of communication between nurses and nurses is SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation). Effective communication between nurses will help improve the quality of nursing care and reduce adverse events. Ineffective communication often leads to errors in care delivery. Therefore, the use of the SBAR communication method is an important strategy in improving patient safety and service quality. This study aims to describe the application of SBAR communication by nurses in providing nursing care management to CHF patients in the CVBC Ward of Dr. R.D. Kandou Hospital, Manado. The research method used a descriptive approach, collecting data through observation and interviews with nurses. The results showed that the application of SBAR communication helped nurses communicate the patient's condition in a more structured manner, improved coordination between teams, and minimized the risk of miscommunication. In conclusion, SBAR communication is effective in supporting nursing care management in CHF patients, and therefore, it is recommended that it be consistently implemented as a standard communication method in the ward.
