Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality from infectious diseases worldwide. ARI affects more children than other infections and increases the incidence of illness by more than 870,000 children under five years old annually, or about 2,320 children every day. Globally, there are more than 1,740 ARI cases per 100,000 children. South Asia has the highest incidence (3,210 per 100,000 children), followed by West and Central Africa with the highest incidence (1,810 cases per 100,000 children). The prevalence of ARI in 2020 in Indonesia, based on diagnoses by healthcare workers and reported symptoms, was 9.3%. This disease is a respiratory infection characterized by cough lasting less than two weeks, common cold, and/or sore throat. The aim of this study was to analyze nursing care for children with ARI using warm steam and eucalyptus oil in the Irina E Lower Room at RSUP Prof Dr R.D Kandou Manado. The method used was a case study with data collection through interviews with the patient's family, observation, physical examination, and nursing documentation. Intervention was given once every three days of implementation. After the warm steam therapy and eucalyptus oil intervention on An.O.P with ARI experiencing ineffective airway clearance, changes were observed in cough intensity and mucus discharge, respiration rate decreased from 22 breaths per minute to 16 breaths per minute after therapy, and oxygen saturation (SpO2) normalized. The conclusion of this study is that warm steam.
